Yes. NanoVM is allergen tested and analyzed to No Detectable Level (NDL) for egg, milk, soy, wheat, fish, crustacean, shellfish, tree nuts and peanut.
Yes, the vitamin C in all the Solace Nutrition NanoVM products is derived from corn. Also, a percentage of the carbohydrate in NanoVM is maltodextrin, which is corn-derived as well. Although corn is found in NanoVM products, do note the product range is hypoallergenic as described above.
One scoop (50% of the DRI’s) of NanoVM 1-3 contains approximately 0.05 grams of carbohydrate.
The carbohydrate sources of NanoVM include modified food starch, sucrose and maltodextrin. These components are used as processing agents in production of some of the raw materials.
Yes. Each production lot of Solace Nutrition NanoVM is tested in an independent lab for casein and gluten. The lot is released for sale when the test results confirm No Detectable Level (NDL). The lots are likewise allergen tested to NDL for a host of other components, such as egg, milk, soy, wheat, fish, crustacean, shellfish, tree nuts and peanut.
Solace Nutrition’s NanoVM is best suited for semi-solid and soft textured foods, such as puddings, purees, yogurt and gelatin desserts. Adding NanoVM 1-3, NanoVM 4-8, or NanoVM 9-18 to thin liquids is not advised. In thin liquids, these NanoVM products sink or stick to the side of a cup thus inhibiting full consumption of a serving. These products are best added to thick fluids (milkshake consistency) as the beadlets of NanoVM are supported within the solution.
No. Some of the nutrients in NanoVM can be destroyed when exposed to high temperatures during cooking/baking. It is best to add NanoVM to foods that are “ready to eat.”
Reimbursement for NanoVM is possible. It depends on the diagnosis, the state laws, the child’s age and the type of insurance. Insurance companies, pharmacies and state agencies who may provide medical coverage of Solace Nutrition products require a Healthcare Common Procedure Code (HCPC).
