NanoVM® is best suited for semi-solid and soft-textured foods, such as puddings, purees, and yogurt. Adding NanoVM® 1-3, NanoVM® 4-8, or NanoVM® 9-18 to thin liquids is not advised. In thin liquids, this powder sinks or sticks to the side of a cup, thus inhibiting the total consumption. NanoVM® can also be frozen in homemade popsicles and ice cream.

Can I cook and/or bake with NanoVM®?

We do not recommend applying heat to NanoVM® as some of the micronutrient content may be lost.

All NanoVM® formulas are coded with B4104, a Healthcare Common Procedure Code (HCPCS) to make them eligible for possible reimbursement. Insurance coverage for NanoVM® may be possible through pharmacy benefits or through a medical benefit for enteral nutrition therapy via a Durable Medical Equipment (DME) provider. Contact your insurance company to see if this is possible with your individual plan. NanoVM® may require a prior authorization and often will require a prescription with the method of administration, Letter of Medical Necessity, along with patient demographics and clinical notes.
