How much MaltoCarb™ powder should I take each day?

Daily intake should be determined by your healthcare professional. Dosing is based on age, body weight and the metabolic condition of the patient.

What type of ingredients are used in MaltoCarb™?

MaltoCarb contains maltodextrin derived from corn.

How much powder & carbohydrate is in one bottle?

Each container contains 454 grams of powder, which delivers 431 grams of carbohydrate.

Is there a scoop in the bottle?

Yes, each bottle contains a scoop that delivers 5 grams of powder and 4.75 grams of carbohydrate.

Does MaltoCarb™ contain allergens?

Made without the nine major food allergens: milk, eggs, fish, crustaceans, tree nuts, peanuts, soy, wheat, and sesame. Free of GMOs, artificial flavors, sweeteners, and any preservatives. Vegetarian. Derived from corn.

Can MaltoCarb™ be used in tube feeding?

Yes, the powder is soluble and will readily suspend in formulas, when properly blended.  It dissolves better into liquids at room temperature.

Are there consumption concerns with MaltoCarb™?

How should I consume MaltoCarb™?

Using the scoop, measure the recommended amount of MaltoCarb. Add to juices, beverages or sprinkle on top of or mix with food. It also may be added to tube feeding formulas.

How does MaltoCarb™ taste?

It contains no added flavorings but is naturally slightly sweet tasting.

How should MaltoCarb™ be stored?

Unopened bottles should be kept in a cool, dry place. Reseal opened bottles, store in a cool location and use within 3 months

What are the ingredients in MaltoCarb™?

Is MaltoCarb™ nutritionally complete?

No, it contains only carbohydrate powder. It is not a source of fat, protein or other vitamins and minerals. MaltoCarb should not be used as a sole source of nutrition.

Is MaltoCarb™ reimbursable?
It is possible depending on the diagnosis, the state laws, the patient’s age and the type of insurance.  Insurance companies, pharmacies and state agencies who may provide medical coverage of our products require a Healthcare Common Procedure Code (HCPC).
