What form of CoQ10 is used in Cyto-Q® t/f?
Cyto-Q® t/f delivers CoQ10 in its reduced form of Ubiquinol, which is more easily absorbed and utilized. The most common form is Ubiquinone, but it needs to be converted to Ubiquinol in the body before being absorbed. Persons with compromised mitochondrial systems have been shown to be inefficient at this conversion.
How much Cyto-Q® t/f should I take each day?
Daily intake should be determined by your healthcare professional specializing in mitochondrial disorders. Each milliliter (mL) of Cyto-Q® t/f contains 8 mg of available Ubiquinol
How much Ubiquinol is there in a box of Cyto-Q® t/f?
Each box contains two bottles of 170mL of liquid with 8mg of Ubiquinol per mL. The total liquid is 340mL at 8mg per mL delivers 2,720mg of Ubiquinol.
How should I consume Cyto-Q® t/f?
Cyto-Q® t/f is designed to be used in tube feedings, but can also be taken orally. Add it to the beverage or tube feeding, stir well and consume.
Is Cyto-Q® t/f tested for allergens?
Cyto-Q® t/f is free of GMOs and is allergen tested at No Detectable Limit (NDL) for egg, dairy, fish, wheat, corn, soy, tree nuts, and peanut.
How soon after the Cyto-Q® t/f is added to a tube feeding formula does it have to be consumed?
Once diluted and added to the tube feeding formula, Cyto-Q® t/f needs to be consumed within a 2-3 hours.
Can Cyto-Q® t/f be taken by orally?
Yes, but it is designed for tube feeding purposes.
How do you know if Cyto-Q® t/f has been oxidized (exposed to air for too long)?
Cyto-Q® t/f is a milky white color. The liquid will turn to an orange color when exposed to air for too long of a period.
How should Cyto-Q® t/f be stored?
All bottles (opened or unopened) should be kept in a cool, dry place (not in the refrigerator). Reseal opened bottles and use within 3 months.
Does Cyto-Q® t/f contain artificial or natural coloring?
Cyto-Q® t/f does not contain any natural or artificial coloring.
What ingredients are used in Cyto-Q® t/f?
Purified Water, Ubiquinol, Medium Chain Triglycerides, Soy Lecithin, Polysorbate 80, Ascorbyl Palmitate, Citric Acid, Potassium Sorbate and D-Alpha Tocopherol.
Is Cyto-Q® t/f nutritionally complete?
No, Cyto-Q® t/f only contains Ubiquinol. It is not a source of vitamins and minerals. This product should not be used as a sole source of nutrition.
