Thiamine-Responsive Disorders

Thiamine-Responsive megaloblastic anemia (TRMA) is a rare genetic disorder affecting a thiamine transporter in the body. This autosomal recessive disorder is characterized by megaloblastic anemia, progressive sensorineural hearing loss, and diabetes mellitus. TRMA is treated with high doses of vitamin B1 (thiamine).

Solace Nutrition has developed Cyto B1, a medical food for the dietary management of thiamine-responsive disorders (in addition to mitochondrial cytopathies). Cyto B1 is a soluble, microencapsulated powder form of thiamine.

Available for purchase only on behalf of individuals under medical supervision and current medical care, this product is allergen-tested at no detectable level (NDL) for eggs, dairy, fish, crustacean, corn, gluten, tree nuts, and peanut. It is also free of GMOs.
