Creatine Metabolism Disorders

Creatine is a nitrogen-containing organic acid produced mainly in the kidney and liver. It is stored in tissues that require high energy, such as skeletal muscle and the brain. Its phosphorylated form, creatine-phosphate (or phosphocreatine) is involved in the synthesis of adenosine triphosphate (ATP), an energy source for several intracellular metabolic processes.

Three congenital metabolic disorders leading to creatine deficiency have been identified. For affected patients, Solace Nutrition has developed Cytotine liquid and powder. These are stabilized creatine monohydrate-based medical foods designed to improve Adenosine Triphosphate (ATP) production (energy production) in the human body. Cytotine's patented formulation supplies creatine in a way that is more beneficial to the body than traditional creatine products.

Available for purchase only on behalf of individuals under medical supervision and current medical care, Cytotine is allergen-tested at no detectable level (NDL) for eggs, dairy, fish, crustacean, gluten, corn, soy, tree nuts, and peanut. It is also vegetarian and free of GMOs and BSE.
