GlyMAX is a medical food for the dietary management of Multiple Acyl-CoA-Dehydrogenase Deficiency (MADD) and other organic acid metabolism disorders such as Isovaleric acidemia (IVA). Available for purchase only on behalf of individuals under medical supervision and current medical care, GlyMAX is allergen-tested at no detectable level (NDL) for eggs, dairy, fish, crustacean, soy, gluten, corn, tree nuts, and peanut. It is also free of GMOs, artificial flavorings, and preservatives.

How much GlyMax powder should I take each day?

Daily intake should be determined by your healthcare professional specializing in mitochondrial or metabolic disorders. Dosing is based on age, body weight and the metabolic condition of the patient.

What type of ingredient is used in GlyMax?

GlyMax contains 100% concentrated Glysine powder.

How much GlyMax is in one bottle?

Each bottle contains 225 grams of powder.

Is there a scoop in the bottle?

Yes, each bottle contains a scoop that delivers 3 grams of Glycine.

Does GlyMax contain allergens?

It is allergen tested at No Detectable Limit (NDL) for egg, milk, fish, crustacean, corn, gluten, soy, tree nuts, and peanut.

How should I consume GlyMax?

Using the scoop, measure the recommended amount of GlyMax. Consume directly by mouth or add to juices, beverages or sprinkle on top of or mix with food. It also may be added to tube feeding formulas.

How does GlyMax taste?

It is sweet tasting.

Can GlyMax be tube fed?

Yes, the powder is soluble and will readily suspend in formulas, when properly blended.

How should GlyMax be stored?

Unopened bottles should be kept in a cool, dry place. Reseal opened bottles, store in a cool location and use within 3 months

What are the ingredients in GlyMax?

It contains only Glycine powder.

Is GlyMax nutritionally complete?

No, it contains only Glycine, which is an amino acid. It is not a source of vitamins and minerals or proper balance of macronutrients. GlyMax should not be used as a sole source of nutrition.
