Cyto B7

Cyto B7 is a medical food designed for dietary management of patients affected by mitochondrial cytopathies or biotinidase deficiency. As a concentrated liquid form of biotin, Cyto B7 allows for small-volume dosing. Refer to the FAQs page to learn more about this unflavored, enteral liquid.

Available for purchase only on behalf of individuals under medical supervision and current medical care, Cyto B7 is allergen-tested at no detectable level (NDL) for eggs, dairy, fish, crustacean, soy, gluten, corn, tree nuts, and peanuts. It is also free of GMOs.

How much Cyto B7 should I take each day?

Daily intake should be determined by your healthcare professional specializing in mitochondrial or metabolic disorders. Dosing is based on age, body weight and the metabolic condition of the patient.

How much Biotin is in a 30mL bottle?

There is 150 mg of Biotin in one bottle and 5 mg of Biotin per mL of liquid.

Is there a syringe for measurement included?

Yes, there is a syringe enclosed that measures in 0.1 increments up to 1 mL.

How should I consume Cyto B7?

Measure the dose desired with the syringe. Take directly by mouth or add to water or any other beverage, stir well and consume. For tube feeding, add the drops and ensure complete mixing. Do not add to hot liquids.

Is Cyto B7 nutritionally complete?

Cyto-Q B7 contains Vitamin B7 (biotin) only. It is not a source of other vitamins and minerals and cannot be used as a sole source of nutrition.

What are the ingredients in Cyto B7?

Biotin, water and natural vegetable glycerin.

Is Cyto B7 flavored?

No, it has a slight sweet taste but it is from the natural glycerine.

Can Cyto B7 be tube fed?

Yes, Cyto B7 can be either tube or oral fed. The liquid drops will readily dissolve in tube formulas, once mixed.

How does Cyto B7 taste?

The Vitamin B7 is dissolved in several emulsifying agents to create Cyto B7. The liquid drops have a slightly sweet taste and mask the inherent bitter taste of all B-vitamins.

How should Cyto B7 be stored?

Unopened bottles should be kept in a cool, dry place. Reseal opened bottles, store in a cool area and use within 3 months.
