What materials are used to microencapsulate NanoVM?
Silica, Hydrogenated vegetable oil, Hydrogenated Palm oil.
Is the NanoVM range hypoallergenic?

A second testing is performed on certain vitamins and minerals as per the United States Pharmacopeia (USP) guidelines. Solace Nutrition's products are manufactured in pharmaceutical grade manufacturing facilities, to insure safety and conformity.

Can NanoVM be used in tube feedings?
NanoVM is being used in tube feedings. However, there are problems with blockage and precipitate. The following suggestion from a Pediatric Gastroenterologist currently using NanoVM provides helpful information.
“When I mix the packet in about 30ml of water, I get a residue. I take the syringe and aspirate and expel contents back and forth to assist with mixing, then rotate the syringe back and forth. This is time consuming, but it helps a little. Despite this, there is still some precipitate. In the past, I applied suction until the sediment in the tube would release. It is important in any case to use the bolus (straight) extension tube set with the gastrostomy tube to allow the widest diameter/chamber to prevent blockage.
Currently, after mixing as above and attaching the straight extension tube, I infuse the vitamin mixture with the tubing bent back downward and the nozzle of the syringe pointing upward. This allows gravity to force any precipitate to the bottom of the syringe, and the liquid into the tubing. I then flush. I get a blockage once per week that is easily relieved with flush.
Compared to crushing an over the counter multivitamin, this is still superior despite the problems.”
